The Long and the Short and the Tall
Based on a play written by Willis Hall. It's time for a group of British soldiers to go out and record noises in the jungle. The recordings will be used by other troops to fool the enemy into thinking they aren't there, which will help them win. As they get closer to the base camp, they find that they are getting farther and farther from radio range. The only channel they can clearly hear is that of a Japanese broadcast. It turns out the Japanese camp isn't far at all. This is made worse by Private Bamforth, a "non-hero" who is very rowdy and has bad things to say about everyone and especially Corporal Johnstone (who holds an equal dislike for Bamforth). Every time a Japanese soldier is taken hostage, the true colors of each man come to the fore.
