The Last Tycoon

Place in Shanghais Gangster age of the early 1900s,'' the past TYCOON informs the story of CHENG (Chow Yun-Fat), a man who is placed up with the chief of police (Sammo Hung) and needs to leave the life he knows and QIU (Monica Mok), the lady he loves, to begin. Violently and quickly moves his way up the ladder of Shanghais underworld to become on the most powerful mob bosses in Shanghais history, after speeding prison CHENG. But celebrity and notoriety take their toll when CHENG finds himself stuck between the Japanese army and also the local secret service. Things are only compounded if he bumps together side her writer husband, into the love of his entire life QIU. Will love re-kindle at the dusk of an era?
