The Landlord

Twenty-nine years later, Elgar Enders "runs away" from home for the first time in his life. In order to flee, this person buys a house in a black neighborhood in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Initially, he wants to expel the black inhabitants and turn the building into a luxurious apartment. That isn't going to stop Elgar, though, and he quickly has other ideas swirling about in his head.
