The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things

Until the day his unstable mother, Sarah, returns to claim him, little Jeremiah lives in a stable home with loving foster parents. His mother's perilous world of drugs, dingy hotels, strip spots, and revolving boyfriends draws Jeremiah into its web of deceit. Saving grace arrives in the form of the boy's ultrareligious grandparents, but Jeremiah's mother returns shortly after. Sarah's desperate and immoral lifestyle eventually consumes her, yet she is held together by maternal love while traveling.
