Douglas Elmore is care taker and a alcoholic writer haunted and chased by forces bent. Douglas suspects a appealing although strange prostitute named Karna who prowls the city and cries by afternoon in his cellar, when renters start turning up dead from the hallways and stairwells of his brownstone apartment construction .
