The Grissom Gang
The Grissom Gang is a remake of the notorious 1949 British melodrama No Orchids For Miss Blandish. Kim Darby plays a 1920s-era debutante that is kidnapped as well as held for ransom. Her captors are the Grissoms, a family consisted of sadists and morons, and also headed by Ma Barker duplicate Irene Dailey. Among the Grissoms, played by Scott Wilson, takes a liking to his detainee, which causes a bloody break down of the family. Both The Grissom Gang as well as the original No Orchids For Miss Blandish were influenced by the record-breaker by James Hadley Chase, though neither film preserves Chase's original ending.
