The Dresser

One night in a little regional theatre during World War II a troupe of vacationing actors stage a generation of Shakespeares King Lear. Bombs are decreasing, sirens are wailing, the curtain is up within an hour although the actor/manager Sir who is currently playing with Lear is nowhere to be viewed. His vest Norman has to scramble to maintain the production alive but will Sir generate in time will he be able to perform that night of course, when he does? The Dresser is a wickedly funny and deeply moving story of friendship and loyalty as Sir reflects on his lifelong accomplishments and attempts to reconcile his tumultuous friendships before the closing curtain.
