The Climax
Dr. Hohner (Karloff), a theatre physician at the Vienna Royal Theatre, murders his mistress, a star soprano, when jealousy drives him insane. Hohner's old mania returns ten years later, when another young singer (Foster) reminds him of the late diva. Hohner is determined to keep her from singing for anyone other than him, even if it means permanently silencing her. In the film's climax, the singer's fiancée (Bey) rushes to her aid.
