The Admiral: Roaring Currents

The movie mainly follows the most famous 1597 Battle of Myeongryang through the Japanese invasion of Korea (1592-1598), by which the legendary Joseon admiral Yi Sun-sin was able to destroy a total of 133 Japanese warships with only 1 3 ships staying in his command. The struggle, that took place in the Myeongryang Strait from the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula, is considered one of Yi's greatest successes.
