Spring Eddy

Eddy is on the run, a small-time Chicago criminal with a penchant for dubious schemes. After robbing his boss, Eddy flees to Mexico, but is distracted by a beautiful hitchhiker on the way. What starts as a simple tryst ends with Eddy beaten, broken, and penniless in Wynot, TX. After inadvertently witnessing a murder by Willet Nash, the county's all-powerful Sheriff, Eddy attempts to hold up a bank and flee, but his blundering plan backfires, and he is apprehended by Nash himself. Eddy's only hope of escaping jail alive is his fiancée Jeannie, whom he dumped at the altar in Chicago.
