Skyfire

Tianhuo Island is as picturesque as a tropical paradise. It nearly makes people forget that it is located within the "Ring of Fire," the world-renowned volcanic band that runs along the Pacific Rim. The team was brought to this location by a young geologist named Li Xiaomeng, who was working on the Suzaku, the world's first volcanic monitoring system. Upon learning of the crater, Li Xiaomeng's father, Li Wentao, a volcano specialist who has been retired for many years, raced to the site in an attempt to persuade her to leave the crater. Meanwhile, expedition specialist Zheng Nan was diving in the gorgeous underwater cave, prepared to propose to his sweetheart Jiahui in a romantic manner. The volcano erupted, and the fate of these people became enmeshed in the resulting chaos. They must reconcile with the past and work together to discover a way forward for themselves as well as for other sentient beings in a desperate predicament if they are to see the light of day again tomorrow. This is a story about Chinese heroes who love and have guts, who select and abandon, who save themselves and others, and who save themselves and others.
