Matt Gordon returns to Singapore after the war to recover a large sum of money hidden in a cache of stolen pearls. His prewar fiancée, the beautiful Linda, vanished after the Japanese onslaught and he reminisces in flashback. However, Linda reappears, this time with amnesia and married to Van Leyden, a wealthy farmer. The evil fence Mauribus, on the other hand, is planning to steal Matt's pearls.
