Seat in Shadow
In this story, Ben's grandma introduces him to Albert, a painter from Glasgow who also works as a Jung-inspired psychotherapist, and Ben meets him again. But their therapy sessions end up telling as much about Albert as they do about Ben in this sexually-charged, weird movie. "Seat in Shadow" is the first movie written and directed by Henry Coombes. It was shot in Glasgow. Edinburgh International Film Festival was where it premiered. It also played at the Berlin International Film Festival and the BFI Flare, which are both in the UK. In this book, social norms and sexual excess are shown in a light-hearted way. The lines between doctor, patient, and artist and muse become more blurred.
