Save the Cinema

Save The Cinema is based on the true tale of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and youth theatre leader in Carmarthen, Wales, who launched a campaign in 1993 to prevent the closing of the Lyric theatre. Together with the then-mayor of Carmarthen, Richard Goodridge (the film recasts this position as a local councillor), they enlisted the aid of Steven Spielberg to secure a special premiere of Jurassic Park.
