Raining Stones

This Ken Loach film tells the story of a person committed to his family and his own religion. Proud, though poor, Bob wants his young girl to have a delightful (and high priced ) brand-new dress on her First Communion. His stubbornness and conviction get him as he turns in his despair to enhance the money, into measures. This flaw leads him to risk everything he loves his beloved family, and worth, indeed even his immortal soul and salvation, in blind pursuit of the objective.
