Thirty-nine-year Older divorcé Louise Harrington (Linney) works in the admissions office at Columbia University School of the Arts. She's unnerved when she receives a program from F. Scott Feinstadt, the identical name of her high school sweetheart who had been killed in a car crash, also requires for the student to arrange a meeting. His appearance, mannerismspainting style resemble those of her former love, and that she begins to guess the artist could be the reincarnation of her flame. Hours after meeting, the two embark upon an event. Also complicating Louise's life are her connection with her own exhusband Peter, who confesses he is learning how to deal with a gender dependence his or her union, plagued. Her ne'er-do-well brother Sammy, who is preferred by their mommy Ellie despite his short comings. And her friend Missy, who uttered the original Scott before his passing out of Louise also seems intent on doing exactly the same with the version.
