Passion of Mind
When Marie, a widow in Provence with two daughters, goes to sleep, she dreams about Marty, a literary agent in Manhattan who dreams very vividly about Marie. The women appear to be identical. Marie meets William, who immediately begins courting her. Marty meets Aaron, an accountant, and eventually becomes his friend and lover. Both women share their fantasies with their lovers. Aaron is accepting, while William is envious. Marie will not sleep next to William, despite the fact that they have become lovers. Marty wakes up with an ashtray from the hotel on her nightstand after Marie and William take a vacation to Paris. Are they the same individual? What is the key to reality?
