Odette

The film is based on the true story of Special Operations Executive agent Odette Sansom, who was kidnapped by the Germans in 1943 and sentenced to death before being sent to the Ravensbrück prison camp, where she was murdered by firing squad in 1944. Despite all difficulties, she managed to survive the war and testify against the jail guards during the Hamburg Ravensbrück Trials in 1945. When she was awarded the George Cross in1946, she became the first woman in history to do so, and she remains the only woman in history to be thus honored while still living.
