My One Christmas Wish

Jackie Turner is a straighta university student, who starved as a kid, abandoned and was abused. Even though she has resolutely turned her life around, the holidays are still very debilitating for her. Facing yet another holiday break campus, Jackie takes a advertisement on Craigslist for The ONE xmas Wish - a family for Christmas - and even offers to pay for $8 an hour. To her surprise, answers flood in. Among the many heart-felt invitations and letters of service, she also hears out of young adults fighting with the exact overwhelming emptiness that comes with spending the holidays. Moved and motivated, Jackie decides to throw a Christmas party - with the last-minute help of friends her adviser and encourage group - to find families for all those folks who emailed her, and finds you as well.
