Merry-Go-Round

Mari Pataki, a humble but promising young farmer girl, lives in a rural setting undergoing difficult changes. Her father forbids her from seeing the man she has feelings for. The father, busy with work on the fields and the prospect of fortune, chooses to marry his daughter to an elderly but wealthy man with whom he does business. He claims that land marries land. This appears to be the rigid rule of the Hungarian peasantry. But the young lover is willing to face any challenge in order to keep Maris' love.
