Mary, Queen of Scots
Mary Stuart, who was named Queen of Scotland at the age of six days, is Scotland's last Roman Catholic ruler. At the age of 23, her cousin Elizabeth Tudor, the English Queen and her arch adversary, imprisons her. Mary's life is to be ended on the scaffold nineteen years later, removing the last threat to Elizabeth's throne. With their opposing personalities, the two Queens provide a dramatic counterpoint to history.
