Lullaby of Broadway
Pretty Melinda Howard traveled to Europe to perform with a musical company. She returns home to surprise her mother, whom she believes is a successful Broadway star with a Manhattan mansion. She had no idea her mother is a burnt-out cabaret performer with a penchant for liquor. She is welcomed into the mansion by two servants who are friends of her mother's. Adolph Hubbell, a kind-hearted Broadway producer who is likewise caught into the farce, owns the house. Hubbell falls in love with Melinda and agrees to cast her in his next production. Melinda also finds love with a handsome hoofer on the show. Everything is going well for Melinda, except she wants to visit her mother, who keeps postponing their reunion.
