Le Jaguar

During the course of a public relations effort, a shaman from the South American rain forest comes to France to perform. A French good-for-nothing named Perrin enters his life in the elevator of a Paris hotel, and he becomes enthralled by him. Following Perrin to his apartment, the shaman is allowed to stay the night in Perrin's apartment, despite the fact that Perrin is not thrilled with the amount of interest shown in him. The shaman suffers a heart attack the next day after attending an official meeting as part of the public relations effort. He demands to see Perrin, despite the fact that he is unable to speak and is lying in a hospital bed. Neither of them is particularly interested in meeting with the shaman once more in the future. After meeting in the elevator, however, it appears that the shaman and Perrin have been mentally linked in some way, and it appears that it is too late to reconcile their differences.
