In the Family

Chip Hines, a brilliant six-year-old from Martin, Tennessee, has only ever known life with his two parents, Cody and Joey. Moreover, it is a good existence. Joey and Chip struggle to regain their footing after the tragic death of Cody in a vehicle accident. They're about to when Cody's will shows that he designated his sister as Chip's guardian. As Chip is taken from him, the years of Joey being accepted into the family fall apart. Joey looks for a remedy in his new lonesome home life. Friends are on his side, but the law is not. With their support and the help of memories of Cody, Joey discovers a way to be at peace with the family and get closer to his kid.
