Hurricane Streets

Marcus is a hoodlum in the mean streets of Manhattan. His father is deceased, and his mother is imprisoned for smuggling unauthorized immigrants. His grandmother is the one who is raising him. He has four close friends who have a basement clubhouse where they shoplift and sell their stolen goods to children. One is attempting to sell narcotics. Marcus wants to get away from the city and spend time with his family in New Mexico. Melena,14, a sweet youngster who dreams of moving to Alaska, has an angry and uncommunicative father. Marcus is pressured by the group to progress to burglary and auto theft. He simply wants to take a deep breath of fresh air. Is it possible for anything to go wrong?
