For the Love of a Child
In 1959, US troops stationed in Asia and subsequently in the United States help two actors form a charity for mixed-race "orphans," who are regarded as misfits in their communities. In this way, Childhelp is born, which later runs multi-disciplinary centers for children who have been mistreated or neglected. Jacob Fletcher, whose stepfather, a lawyer, tormented him into absolute anguish and returned him to him after 10 months in jail, is among them. Many of Jacob's friends have harrowing stories to tell, but the farm's professional and devoted staff are able to heal most of them with animal therapy.
