Fighting For The Motherland 1162

Emperor Wanyan Liang of the Jurchen Jin Dynasty intended to invade the Southern Song Dynasty in 1161. Due to the strict recruitment policy and the Jin's harshness, it was difficult to survive in the Central Plain. Xin Qiji, who was 21 years old at the time, fought alongside villagers against the Jin army before joining a more influential force led by Geng Jing and gaining victory after victory. Xin Qiji traveled to the south in 1162 to convince the Song Emperor to remove the Jurchens from the north in order to expel invaders and reclaim lost territory in order to realize reunification.
