Decision Before Dawn
WWII has reached its conclusion: Germany is in ruins but refuses to surrender. Because the US army lacks critical information about German units operating on the other side of the Rhine, it decides to send two German prisoners to gather information. The plan is risky because the Gestapo maintains a highly effective network for identifying and apprehending spies and deserters. Furthermore, it is unclear whether "Tiger," who is willing to do any dirty work for the right price, and war-weary "Happy," who may be easily betrayed by his emotions, are reliable agents. Happy is parachuted into Bavaria after Tiger and another American agent successfully infiltrate. His mission: track down a powerful German armored unit moving toward the western front.
