American short subject film directed by Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick financed the picture himself, also it is situated in an earlier photo feature he had done being a photographer. 'Day of the Fight' shows Irish-American middle weight boxer Walter Cartier during the height of his career, on a fight having middleweight Bobby James' afternoon, that took place on April 17, 1950.
