Buena Vista Social Club

Within this fascinating Oscar-nominated documentary, American guitarist Ry Cooder brings together a group of legendary Cuban folk musicians (some of their 90s) to list some Grammy-winning CD inside their native city of Havana. The end result is a spectacular compilation of concert footage from the gigs at Amsterdam and New York City's famed Carnegie Hall, together with director Wim Wenders capturing not only the music of the group -- but also the musicians' life stories.
