Black Angel

March 1945 Asolo, Italy. Livia Mazzion, the wife of a top ministry official, slips into the car of lawyer Ugo Oggiano, also her partner's informer and Livia's admirer. Livia must reach also her buff Helmut Schultz and Venice, a Wermacht lieutenant, as beautiful and accursed like a god, with whom she's with a burning love affair. During the trip she relives the highpoints of her catastrophic sexual harassment gone adrift, one that has shattered her life and her destiny, swallowing up her in a bituminous and sybaritic Venice's ruinous vortex. The town, in the throes of this final months of the war, is rife with military brass, officials, nabobs, traffickers, sharks and adventurers of every sort. Yet a surprise awaits Livia upon her arrival in Venice, a surprise in the heroes' personal defeats interweave with those public, as cultural and historical events want to settle accounts.
