AnneFrank. Parallel Stories

Primo Levi says that one Anne Frank moves us more than all the other people who went through the same things but whose faces have never been seen. Helen Mirren, who has won an Oscar®, will tell Anne Frank's story through the words in her diary. The set will be her room in the secret refuge in Amsterdam. Set designers from the Piccolo Theatre in Milan will make sure that every detail is right. Anne Frank would have been 90 years old this year. Anne's story is linked to that of Arianna Szorenyi, Sarah Lichtsztejn-Montard, Helga Weiss, and the Bucci sisters, Andra and Tatiana. All of them were teenagers during the Holocaust and had the same goals and desire to live as Anne. The stories of their children and grandchildren are told in between their own.
