A Resistance
YU Gwan-sun is imprisoned during Japanese colonial control for organizing the March 1 Movement, a nonviolent pro-independence demonstration. YU, undeterred, rallies her other convicts in a fight against Japan. The Japanese security head detects resistance, seduces a convict into revealing YU Gwan-involvement, sun's and tortures her. Gwan-sun then acts as if he is obeying the Japanese while secretly plotting another independence demonstration. This movement extends from the prison to the streets, and YU is brutally tortured once more. Her spirit is more liberated and free than ever before, even though she dies two days before she is to be released.
