A Cool, Dry Place

In rural Kansas, where he moved after his wife abandoned him in Chicago, a single father balances his work as an attorney with the care of his five-year-old son and his work as a high school basketball coach. Just as he begins to form a new relationship with a veterinarian's assistant, his ex-wife reappears and wishes to reassert herself in the lives of her husband and son. In addition to the romantic conflict, he is suddenly presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a major firm in Dallas.
