15 Février 1839
Hundreds of Patriots rot in prison months after the British army crushed their insurgency. Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier and Charles Hindelang learn on February 14 that they, along with three other comrades, will be hanged in 24 hours. While waiting for their execution, the condemned spend time with their companions and loved ones, as well as entrusting their last wills and testaments to them. At dawn, the five Patriots muster the courage to walk with dignity towards the scaffold, knowing that they will die in the name of a just cause. www.tribute.ca
