Young and Dangerous
Following his ascension in the Hung Hing gang, Nam establishes a pub in Wanchai. For the sake of his own safety, he sends his best buddy, Chicken, to Taiwan to work for Lui, the leader of the San Luen gang, where he meets and falls in love with the aging Lui's mistress, Ting Yiu. Upon his return to Hong Kong, Chicken finds Nam embroiled in a conflict with their mutual adversary, Fai Fat. Lui then appears, insisting that Hung Hing sell him a 50% stake in their planned Macau casino. The conference is set up by Ting Yui when Lui threatens war and Chiang, the Hung Hing boss, wants to think about it. The feelings of Chicken, the animosity between Fai and Nam, the avarice of Lui, and the goals of Ting are all headed in the same direction.
