Van Gogh
Vincent relocates to Auvers-sur-Oise, close to Paris, in the late spring of1890, where he is treated by Dr. Gachet and stays in a run-down inn. A self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head claims Vincent's life less than 70 days later. Painting both landscapes and people, Vincent is visible at work. Theo, his wife Johanna, and their young child pay a visit to Auvers. Vincent is pleasant and amusing, attracting the interest of Johanna, the young inn maid, Cathy, a Parisian prostitute, and Gachet's daughter Marguerite, who is half Vincent's age. Vincent travels to Paris just before he passes away. While there, he fights with Theo, criticizes his own work and successes, dances in a brothel, and is alternately warm and cold toward Marguerite.
