True Grit
The murder of her father sends a teenage tomboy, Mattie Ross (Kim Darby), on a mission of"justice", which involves avenging her father's passing. She's a tough older marshal,"Rooster" Cogburn (John Wayne), because he's"self indulgent", and also a reputation to getting the job done. The 2 are connected with a Texas Ranger, La Boeuf (Glen Campbell), who's searching for exactly the same man (Jeff Corey) for a separate murder at Texas. Their odyssey takes them out of Fort Smith, Arkansas, deep into the Indian Territory (present day Oklahoma) to discover their man.
