Theo and the Metamorphosis
Theo, now 27, has Down syndrome and lives with his father in a remote cabin in the middle of a forest. They're at one with the environment and the animals, but then the father leaves, and the son is left to deal with his dreams on his own. Theo then embarks on his voyage, during which he seeks to learn about the nature of things and of beings while also undergoing a personal reinvention, a widening of his perspective, and a taste of freedom.
