As a writer named Mike struggles to get his semi-autobiographical sitcom off the ground, his vision is gradually eroded by a domineering network executive named Lenny, who prefers trashy reality programming. The irony, of course, is that every crass suggestion Lenny makes improves the show's response from test audiences, bringing it one step closer to airing.
