The Tree
There's nothing unspectacular than collecting water, or will there be? It's a easy undertaking, but it takes almost 45 minutes, in what feels like real time: that the person walks throughout the narrow streets, dog in tow, stopping to pick up glass bottles at the doorways that are smart, before going down to the darkened river. A trek over land, A protracted row and finally the bottles are full of It's already sunrise. The night was silent, save to the sound of their bottles clinking together and the thumping of the guns in the length, which should be why the person met no body, why what's as still as a painting, such as what the boy sees from the window at the very beginning, a village plucked from a story book. The scene is decorated like a stage-set.
