The Straight Story
A retired farmer and widower in his 70s, Alvin Straight finds one afternoon his brother Lyle that is remote might not regain and has suffered a stroke. Alvin is determined to make things while he can, but his brother lives in Wisconsin, while Alvin remains stuck in Iowa with no car and no driver's permit. Then he hits on the concept of making the trip on his lawnmower that is old beginning a picturesque and occasionally deeply spiritual odyssey.
