Rabbi Avram arrives at Philadelphia from Poland on the way to San Francisco where he's the new rabbi of a congregation. An innocent and innocent traveller, conmen trick him to cover the trip then they leave his belongings sprinkled along a deserted road along with him. He is befriended by a stranger and have many experiences throughout his or her journey.
