The Devil Outside
Robert Eastwood is a child raised in a world of Born Again Christianity, which has taught him to look for signs and to believe that evil lurks just outside the front door. When he gets to school, he discovers that no one else believes the world was created in seven days or that Jesus will return. Caught between his mother, who is determined to bring Jesus' love to a dying mining town, and his best friend Marcus, who has introduced him to adolescent rebellion, Robert finds himself at the center of a spiritual tug of war as he attempts to escape his religious beliefs. When he finds a dead body in the woods, he realizes God has sent him a sign. The Devil Outside is a story about everyday insanity.
