The Catered Affair
Jane announces at breakfast that she and Ralph are getting married the following week. Jane and Ralph only want a quiet wedding with close friends and family, with no celebration. Jane's parents are poor, so Jane and Ralph can borrow a car. But at dinner that night, Ralph's parents only talk about their daughters' big weddings, and the tension rises. A wedding breakfast with hundreds of guests suddenly appears. The issue is that Tom has been saving for a cab and license for 12 years, but now that he can, his money is going towards a wedding neither he, Jane, or Ralph want.
