The Blood Rose
An artist and botanist named Frédéric Lansac has an intense affair with the beautiful party girl Moira, but eventually dumps her for the more conventionally attractive Anne. Frédéric and Anne get married, but disaster strikes when Anne's sister Moira crashes the wedding and causes a commotion that leads to her falling into the blaze. Anne and Frédéric lock themselves in his mansion with his dumb dwarven slaves. Of course, Anne will turn sour and demanding. Frédéric informs everyone that Anne has passed away, but behind their backs, he has hired a nurse to take care of her.
