The Bang Bang Club
At early to mid'90s, once the South African system of apartheid was in its death throes, four musicians - Greg Marinovich, Kevin Carter, Ken Oosterbroek and also João Silva - bonded with their own friendship and a feeling of purpose, functioned together to chronicle the violence and upheaval leading up to the 1994 election of Nelson Mandela as president. Their job is risky and dangerous, possibly vaguely so, as they thrust themselves into the middle of disorderly clashes between forces backed by the government (such as Inkatha Zulu warriors) and people in service of Mandela's African National Congress.
