Hope Williams, a successful ER doctor, reluctantly meets an accomplished artist on a girls' night out. He is everything her previous lovers were not, and he forces her to discover a side of herself she was unaware of. Hope's sexual life heats up, but her work suffers when an abusive husband of a battered patient blames her for his misgivings.
