Strangled
Based on true events, this psycho-thriller takes place in 1960s provincial Hungary, when a series of atrocious murders shock the small town of Martfü. A psychotic killer is on the loose, slaughtering young women, while an innocent man is wrongfully accused and sentenced for crimes he could never have committed. A determined detective arrives on the scene and quickly becomes obsessed with the case, despite the prosecutor's pressure to see a man hang. We soon become enmeshed in a web of complicated intrigue and terrifying drama, trapped in the claustrophobic social, political, and psychological realm of socialist Hungary.
