She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Every one expects the worst after Custer and the 7th Cavalry are damaged by Indians. Capt. Nathan Brittles is ordered on patrol but he is also required to take together Abby Allshard, wife of the Fort's commanding officer, and her niece, the pretty Olivia Dandridge, who're being evacuated for their safety. Brittles is just a few days away from retirement and Olivia has captured the eye of a couple of the younger officers inside the Company, Lt. Flint Cohill and 2 nd Lt. Ross Pennell. She's taken to wearing a yellow ribbon in her hair, a sign that she has a beau at the Cavalry, but refuses to state whom she's wearing it.
